New Guy from CO/ME

Hey All,

I am active duty combat medic in the USAF, stationed in Colorado. I am originally from Maine. Waiting on my medical retirement from injuries and bad medical doctors. I have to change my lifestyle and treasure hunting has always been a hobby but I never was able to try it with a metal detector. I am hoping to get one and slowly get into the fun. I am married with a wife of 2 years, a 9 month old daughter and another baby on the way. Once I am out, we are moving to NC or AZ where I am trying to get into medical school. I am hoping to trade my excess military surplus gear and other items I cant use/dont use for treasure hunting equipment and learn from the forums.

Yes, I used to be stationed there as well.

I bet it's changed a lot since I was there in the mid 80's

Actually... some yes and some no. Mentality... probably not. I have struggled being here since its a big culture change but made some good friends and enjoyed the cadets I helped.
