Hi All ,
So here I am ..on a Treasure Hunting forum. LOL
My back story is , I'm 50 ,Retired , far from bored!! Love the outdoors , Hunting, Fishing etc etc.. I've never found a piece of gold in my life , yet I have gold fever BAD!! Always have !
Now I live on a creek that "supposedly" has gold in it!
When I do something ...I DO IT!!
I told the wife that I want to prospect for and find gold. Obviously, knowing me.. Lol.. she immediately assumed I was driving to Alaska and probably would never be seen again!
Her only ultimatum was .."Show me some Gold ...before you spend one dime on Gold hunting!"
Well obviously thats a pretty big hill to climb..but I don't take no for an answer.
So for the last month I've been building a gold dredge out of whatever I can find or scavenge (I've spent a little here and there
..)
Im almost done with the dredge.
Its not the best but it floats, it sucks rocks and dirt and it runs it pretty darn good thru my 4' sluice box.
Now, I'm sure it's not efficient, I'm sure it will lose gold , and I'm sure it could be a lot better.
But I'm also pretty sure that sooner or later , if there is gold there, it will eventually catch a piece!
And then I'll really be off and running!
So again ...here I am , knowing that I'll need advice somewhere along the way and hoping to meet others, and maybe find a partner or two to hunt with.
