Whats the geography like there? They appear to have been acted upon by heat. I find objects not unlike these at a local landfill that has been subjected to uncountable burns over the decades. Are they hot do you know? Any volcanic activity in the area in the past? Possibly action of water...

Thanks for the input. I am in upstate New York. The elderly gentleman was a scout leader for many years. Hard to say where he found them. I thought a couple were possibly little Native American paint pots. The tan colored one with all the holes was unusual.
