I got permission to hunt a yard that use to have a store from the early 1900's until sometime in the 40's before that they use to sale honey. My first target was a Buffalo then the rest of the hunt was just a blur for the most part because i dug every signal. So the coin count is One no date Buffalo, My first V nickle that is toasted,One 1908 Indian, Three 1919 Wheats One 44 Wheat, One 1927 Merc and some clad. I found a bunch of Brass tab things. No clue what they are for. Thanks for looking..

I was waiting for your Post  Very Nice Hunt !

The Whatsits are Roofing Nails/tacks I believe.
at least that is what I was told though they remind me more of rivets.
and I can't find similar unused ones online.

I'd call that a good day

Those are some really cool finds!:thumbsup: That Merc looks like it's in really great shape. Old coins are the coolest to dig!

Nice! With all of those super conductive decoys, you done good!

I got busy today with taking my son to get Easter bunny pics, then we went fishing. Hope you didn't chew all your nails off waiting:laughing7:

Nice hunt! Yeah those are old slate shingle hooks. I dug the crap out of those on a hunt too.....they signaled fairly high, and like a coin.

Great finds!, I hate those tacks! because they ring just like an Indian head would

Hate those roofing tacks too....
Down here, they tell me me deep wheat... sucks to find them.

Thanks everyone..

Very nice scores on the keeper coins. I had the nightmare of digging those buggers once. Yep, they sound good. Way to press on through and still recover the goods.

Congrats on some nice finds! :occasion14:
Looks like a pretty good day out swinging to me.

Sweet hunt with a mix of finds!!
Those roof tacks throw off a killer signal, I hate them.

Great hunting spot you got there!

The rain is killing me...
