New in Brazos County

Hey all, my name is steven and im from the Bryan/College Station area. I just bought my first metal detector off craigslist, and am just getting started. Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum, and see if there was anyone hunting in the area.

Welcome Steven, I haven't found much on this site about Brazos County, but if you take the time to walk downtown Bryan, and talk to a lot of the older business owners, you would be surprised at some of the information you can come up with. I also had an old copy of the Eagle that had an article in it about Spanish carvings in the banks of the Brazos in the south end of the county, now I can't find it !!! It's the pits getting old. lol

Thank yall for the hello's. Im still trying to get the hang of reading the tones and judging them. But while out today in a little patch of woods in my neighborhood, i had my first finds! An old copper groundrod clamp, and a 1971 copper penny. Needless to say it has built up my excitement!
