New line of B.S., but it works

I'm standing in line at a random bank on road trip while it suddenly hits me. She asks what I want and I say "halves if you have any." She hands over a couple handfuls and asks why I'm buying these. I immediately reply "They're for a weekly poker game I have with friends. Halves are fun to toss out into the pot and when the game gets rowdy we can throw them at each other. They're about the same size as a poker chip and make a cool noise." She said "oh that's cool, we have some more in the vault if you want them, you seem to have alot of fun with them." To this I reply I'll take all you have. Ended up getting about 3 40%ers out of about $100 worth. So people the poker chip line is good and it lightens the mood. Use it.

I USED TO USE THAT LINE... IT WORKS BECAUSE YOU CAN ALSO INCORPORATE ASKING ABOUT "BIG DOLLARS" TOO... WHEN THEY DONT HAVE BIG DOLLARS IT IS EASY TO HAVE TO "SETTLE" FOR THE HALVES....

New line for me, and Im going to use and abuse it.

"Me and my son are coin collectors" is getting old for everyone. My 4 year old cant even say silver..."Chooba" he calls it. Hows that for a new line. "Chooba hunta"

"Hi Im looking for any Half Dollars dated 1964 and below, they are worth around 15 bucks or so. Yeah if you look at the edges (pull one out of your pocket) you can see they are silver instead of copper looking, see the contrast maam. If I worked here like you, I would keep an eye out for them and take all the ones that come in. Then I would sell them on Ebay, Ive made a couple grand this year just from these things. You could probably make alot more though since you have access to the ones that are turned in. I'll be back in a week to see if youve gotten any in....dont you be taking them now maam," with a charming smile.

I used to work at a bank and I had a man come in and basically tell me that exact line (replace ma'am w/ sir). He said he was on a road trip across the country and was making thousands and thousands of dollars buying silver at face and then selling to dealers. Now, it didn't really matter as I was already into silver but that much info can go a long way to change a disinterested teller into a silver snagger.

I heard a guy use a line just like this at my dump bank and he was pouring on the charm...


He also added "and sometimes there are silver ones."
