Metal Detecting
Hey everybody! My name is Adam Said and I hail from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Munising to be exact. Right now I am at college in Kalamazoo at Western and am looking at getting back into metal detecting/relic hunting. I know of some great sites back up north, and can't wait until the summer to get hunting again. But for now I need a new detector. Since I have been out of the game for a few years, I would appreciate any advice on what detector I should buy. I'm a minimal discrimination kinda guy, and I pretty much dig every damn target I can, as long as it ain't foil, or what seems to be foil. Basically what I want the most is depth. I heard White's is pretty good, so is minelab. Any suggestions would be appreciated. And if anybody else is from this part of Michigan, please introduce yourself! I am 23 and a college student new to the area so I am always looking for friends, of any age.

I'd say you can't go wrong with Minelab's CTX 3030. You can play around with all discrimination settings and tone ID's also. Should fit your needs very well. Will set you back $2K+ though.
