Hi yal,


I need help picking a metal detectors ,
1. searching for coins in central texas.
2. good search depth (does the coil head make a big difference?)
3. are cheaper water proof detectors like vipor trident any good ?
4. would you recomend buying a nicer used or new (with cost in mind )

I was looking at garrett 350 and f2 and vipor trident?

Viper Trident is a piece of garbage - period.

Garrett Ace 350 is a great machine, as is the Fisher F2.

I suggest a Tesoro Vaquero Tesoro Metal Detectors - Official company web site with metal detector models for treasure hunting land or water.
Larger coils can give more depth, but you don't always want a huge coil as it can lose sensitivity to smaller targets. Good Luck!
