New member What is the type?

Howdy,
I,m new to forum.I found this one about twenty yards from a mound yesterday.I know how to find them but know little else. Any suggestions on type and age?

Most stemmed points are usually classified as Adena, but there are also Archaic Stemmed Points as well. My guess from your picture is that is an Arcahic type.

Would help to know where you're from. For the record..there are TONS of stemmed points out there that aren't Adena. In fact..Adena seems to be a 'catch-all' term that is thrown around as loosely as Kirk or Gary. There are stemmed points in EVERY time period (including Historic).
