Friends, This is not exactly a "today's find", but close enough. I spent about 4 hours at this new permission (1780's home/farm) this past weekend and had a couple really good finds including a couple flat buttons and an 1833 Liberty Head. I wish I would have covered more ground but time did not permit and was curious as to what I would find there so dug about everything. I did dig a bunch interesting items that I need to do some research on but wanted to show a couple items and ask for help on one of the flat buttons I found. I cannot make out anything on the front of the button but the backmark includes what looks like BLUCHER and something GILT (possibly treble GILT). Any help with this button would be appreciated. Cheers, NoVaRelics

Thanks HeavyMetal......have you see a backmark with what I believe to say BLUCHER on it? I cant find any reference to this manufacturer.

Those are some nice finds. I like that Large Cent.

Nice finds! The LC's in good enough shape that you may be able to get a Newcomb variety.
