New permission...

It was a bit chilly but I had a decent hunt today at a new permission. To bad the main yard is off limits. This was a small area on the outskirts that they didn’t mind me digging on. Hopefully they will change their mind on the rest of it someday. The coins didn’t come out in very great shape but I can make some of them out. They are hard to see the dates so I may be off but I got a 1774 British half penny, 1918 British half penny, 1854 Nova Scotia half penny token, blank disc, silver 1942 Canadian dime and 1916 Canadian silver dime. There was also some flat buttons, buckles, modern clad and a tombac button. Thanks for looking and the digging was great! [emoji16][emoji106]

That place is loaded with potential, sounds and looks like a multigenerational site...those are the best!

Good finds! Show them your finds and how you dig neat holes, offer them a couple of coins. You might get the whole place?

Just the owners were a bit skittish on the whole thing and I was glad they let me do the spot I did. I think they’ll come around when they see I did no harm to the property. They were probably being safe and seeing what it was all about first. Well at least I hope that’s the case! Haha

Did you show the permission what was dug?
Sometimes they see that and are amazed at what was there-and it's like go ahead try the yard you might be lucky there as well.

I did and offered any of the finds. Your right they were amazed but didn’t want any of the finds. I do believe they will let me do some more of the property soon! [emoji16][emoji106]
