Arseno Pyrite

Hard rock tailings

Nice specimen! How big is that one? Really hard to tell in a photo. Guessing it's closer to a marble than a basketball.

When surfing the web for gold porn try out " Gold with Arsenopyrite " some crazy nice looking specimens can be found.

ACTUAL SIZE IS +/- .6 CM X 1 CM don't have a weight.

Not nearly as big as this one. This one cleaned by Mr Rick the "Dredgeman"

Morning Oakview2,
Those are some interesting photos, what photo techniques were employed!? The one "Cleaned by Mr. Rick", just for clarity I would be interested in learning about his cleaning method.

Thank you..................63bkpkr

As a proficient amateur photographer, there is one small thing you can do to make them pop even more - raise the subject away from the background material. If you play around with it, you can make it look like it's floating in a sea of black. But these look great!

We use a common use a common garage sale crockpot, we excite usually the highest purity muratic or nitriic. If you can find rull strength hyrdogen peroxide it can be used as well. I don't know about heating it.

100% hydrogen peroxide is what the Germans used as propellant for the V2.
heating it? what do you think would happen?

beautiful gold and nice shots.

I have never used it, but seen it used and it was not heated, hence the caveat. I am neither a chemist nor do I pretend to be one on the internet. I caustion all who want to use any chemicals, to educate yourself and follow the protocols..... Thanks for the info
