Went out to a new place I had scoped out in the early Summer this year as I got a late start on the season.
Looked pretty old, and was definitely about in the days of the older coins. Not a newer park by any means.
I was never there-ever-and never talked to anyone that had been.
Searched for about a good hour and a half and had little to show for, but then found a well used path that led off the main road into
the park from the opposite side.
I took a good look around and it seemed to just give that "Vibe".
About 20 mins into it I started hitting some deep wheats in 7-9" + range.
Then the silver came. It was slow, but it came in.
One of the merc's I got was 9" in down angled in under a pine root.
The silver pendant/earing was also 9-10" down.
I had to fight for these, but I got 'em.
My first silver dimes of the season--I was getting worried.
