My buddies and I were coming home from a fishing trip in N.C. and passed this building sitting along side the road. I immediatly told him to pull over. We poked around the building for a bit..Next fishin trip I'm taking my MD..lol..We found alot of old broken glass , and some old rusted farming tools.
About 10 minutes of poking around and this coverall clad older man came walking up, we assumed the land owner and was hoping we wasn't angry. He said he saw our truck along side and wanted to know if we broke down? We rold him no just interested in what his old building was. Well he turned out to be a very nice old man, infact he seemed to be so nice he decieded to share a few of OUR beers with us..while sitting in his driveway, where we were parked. He told us it was an old roadside fruit and veg. stand that his family operated for four generations. His father and he tore down the original stand in the 40's and built what you see now. He told us the land was worth more in property value for residential than he had made in the 80's decade....So he sold the farming land but kept the lot this stand and his house sits on.
He said we were welcome anytime he just want's to see anything we find incase we find a lost family hierloom.....AGREED
My buddies who are not MD went out to WM and bought a couple BH Pioneer's......I think I got them hooked.
Will let you know what we find prob not until spring.
