The neighbors down the street gave me permission to hunt their vacant lot next to their place, and it was a nice evening so I went down there for about an hour last night. I pulled 2 wheaties, a 1953 & 1955D, as well as the remains of 2 pocket watches, a large square nail, sucker's about a third the size of a railroad spike, and a small plate that says, model 803, made in the USA. The neighbor's 2 kids, and three other neighborhood kids were following my every move to the point that I could hardly swing, and the boy made off with the remains of the one pocketwatch. Oh well, the mom was out watching, and I like kids, so I kind of gave them a running commentary as I went along. I'll have to go back someday when they're in school,,because I think this lot has some potential! Lots of junk so I'll have to take it low and slow.

Keep 'em swinging!!

Those wheats are usually guardians of nearby silver, so keep hunting it slowly..and you're right, go back when the kids are in school, they can be both a blessing and a curse :D

I was helping a lady one time to find her missing wedding band in a yard full of aluminum scrap. A 10 year old stayed with me for hours and so I let him swing for a few minutes. He tried to tell me that my MXT said "GOLD" while he was using it in prospecting mode. he sounded so truthful i almost believed him... Kids sure do have great imaginations.

I agree on hitting the site before school is out this spring.
