New to Coast area

Just moved down here from Illinois and would like to get out and start diggin. Anyone have any groups or info please let me know. I have been reading up on Ft Macomb over in La. anyone know if it is legal to dig out there

Hey Phil. I am about 60 miles from the coast but I'm doing some research on some old towns in the area. There are a lot of good places down that way to MD and several folks in the area that are on here. You should be getting some local input pretty quick. I do not know anything about the fort in LA that you posted on but someone in the LA forum should have some info.
