New to detecting

I know its cold now and hard to dig. I just got me a new dector, my first one. would like to get together with some people to show me the proper way of doing it with out causing much damage.

What did you get Red? The parks around here are good enough to practice in. Especially the downtown area parks,...are you in SLC?

Hi Red, there are plenty of places around here to md,you can learn from people on this forum, where is west haven ? anyway have fun.

I live in Ogden Utah. I picked up the bounty hunter prospector md, nothing fancy more to take my kids out and do that with them. We have been doing it in my yard and my 6 year old loves finding the penies. We did find a old Bayer medicine top that was metal.
