New to the site, but been around metal detecting for some time

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself to the community here. I am a long time enthusiast in metal detecting, yet have not been very active as
raising my kids and working and just getting by has precluded me to pursue this passion. But, I am close to the finish line in my job and retirement is just around the corner. I intend to become more active in this interest in the coming years ahead. I have followed some of the blogs on this site
over the years and basically have been a armchair treasure hunter. I have enjoyed the many stories posted on this forum and I believe in my mind is one of if not the best forum on the web. Lots of info and lots of people from all over seem to congregate here and share their stories and finds. So, with that...thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my stories hopefully to come, and to meet others here that share this common passion.
