Hello, I wanted to introduce myself. I love detecting and the outdoors, lots of plans for this upcoming summer. Always wanted to try dredging and found a great deal on one about five years ago, so now I spend a lot of my time in the water. Will keep dredging with my 4" Keene as long as those darn politicians don't kick me out. I also have a highbanker that I have never used. Found my first nugget with the 4" in Quartzville creek on a GPAA claim. I started out detecting with a Compass that my dad bought when I was born, and I got when he got his Gold pro. The compass finally quit working, just a steady hum and needle stays pegged. I like diving so I bought an Excal 2. I also have a White IDX pro that I received as trade for some work on a boat along with a 2" Keene dredge. It's a great hobby that I enjoy with my dad who now has a Fisher gold pro. So in short lot's of different equipment with no real brand loyalty although I must admit I love the Minelab's. I enjoy reading about how to better use the detectors, tips, tricks, and upgrades that help the hunt. But I do believe it's not so much the gear, but the getting out there and looking! Hope to see ya out there looking! Oh and finding!
