I've been metal detecting since the early 90s on and off, but got serious about it around 2010. To date, I haven't found anything truly spectacular, but silver now and then, and a few gold items, always keep me digging most all signals since you never know what's underfoot.

I'll swing most any place I can, but i love old home sites, old schools, and the occasional abandoned industrial facility. I mainly hunt on some property I have access to in East Texas that has a few old home sites and barn areas that date back to the late 1890s.

I've been coming to this site for a few years now, and have really enjoyed the reading, but have never joined.

Welcome from Chester County Pa. I'm somewhat new here as well. A lot of smart treasure hunters here, good luck!

I do love it. You never know what you're about to find when the machine talks to you! Most of the time (for me) it's slaw, pull tabs, or a "teaser" piece of iron, but sometimes it's a killer piece of history that was last touched 100+ years ago!

Welcome to the forum from Texas

Thank you!

Lots of history down in your area. I've hunted the Hill Country a few times and wasn't disappointed at all! Got my first Real there.

You've found a great place for information and fellow treasure hunters of all kinds -- welcome aboard mate! :occasion14:

Wow, nice one. I’m from the NE side of town swinging over the western Texas Independence trail and on old fields being developed for new homes. Hoping to find my first spanish. :)
