**New UPDATE** HUGE freaking gold ring...

Ok.. not really "my thing"i like the older stuff... but I have to admit.. seeing this pop out of the ground got my attention!!!

It is pretty heavy.. over an oz.. I included the best shots of the makers marks I could.. anyone have any idea what they mean?? This is only my second gold ring in 20 years.. the other being a 1870s ring about 1/8th the weight..
I assume it is a real diamond since it is a huge solid gold ring.. but I'll have to have it checked..

The gold has been purified, and i might be adding some other scrap to it.. not sure if I am going to sell it.. might just get the little bar back.. stamped with the weight and purity.. the diamond is being recut.. which will increase the value because of the type of cut being done? Turned out to be a very, very nice diamond!!! $$$$$

No.. yellow gold.. but my lighting source sucks... I didn't take the time to adjust the white balance in photoshop..

I want to say it was 63 ish?? I go by just getting a clear crisp signal.. in a good area...

Sweet chunk of Gold! Hard to believe it's only your 2ND after 20 years.

Well.. I have a bunch of the fake plated ones from the 1800s.. but most of the sites I hunt are usually earlier.. and Civil War or colonial related... so.. it just works out that way.. heck I don't even have that many mercs!!!!

Nice ring, I can't see any makers marks in the photo please tell us what you see. It is hard to tell if that rock is real, dose not look real but it could be. If that rock and gold is real that is one valuable ring $5,000+
