New to the game and my first post here. Today while exploring the grounds of an old church I came across what I thought was a nut/bolt/washer combo until I noticed writing on the "washer". I did some internet research which led me to TreasureNet. It's just a common slot-machine token with "This Token Has No Cash Or Trade Value" stamped on the back. The front was obliterated by the nut over many years of apparent use in keeping a rusty gate from falling into further disrepair. Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say "Hi" and share today's find. :icon_thumleft:

Neat find, I've found 2 similar ones so far

I used to use my nephew's Chuckie Cheese tokens for diamond shape inlays on my woodwork.

Ericles,
Congrats on the find, And Welcome to our "Addiction" ! A better group of people on the Net aayou won't find imho. Anytrhing that you have a question with...You get good pictures from different views, Correct measurments, Generalities of where and what you found it around! And I can just about bet that one of the many experts on here will tell you what you need to know, Again welcome and congrats my new friend!..........................HH

Welcome aboard. That's a neat find to start out with.

Welcome! This cracks me up as my first find was a no cash value token in my front yard. It luckily however was not a prediction of my metal detecting future. Keep at it and stuff with cash value, historical value, and sentimental value will roll in with the trash. Happy hunting and please come back to t-net as it is a wonderful resource for detectorists.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I don't even own my own detector yet but who knows what Santa will bring in a few weeks. ;)
