I am extremely grateful for the friendship and and fellowship of brother TNet member Terry Soloman. In an extraordinary gesture, Terry traveled to my home to show me a Vaquero and the benefits of having a detector that will significantly improve my ability to find deeper signals. As many of you know, I have been using an entry level Compadre detector. While the Compadre is a wonderful machine, I feel I have been getting stonewalled on older finds because of depth range. Terry visited my wife and I (briefly) and we spent some time together with a couple Vaqueros on a morning hunt. I had picked out several (private permission) colonial farms that I thought might be good producers and have never been detected. Unfortunately, the day we hunted was one of the most brutal for heat index and humidity that we have had this year and it cut our exploits short. The colonial farm I chose, and we detected, didn't surrender the finds that I anticipated and was a sore disappointment. Although we both found typical and atypical farm relics, the only coin of consequence was this war nickel (my first) I found under the clothes lines........

The depth difference was noticeable and.........that Vaquero is now mine!!
I did a short hunt today with the Vaquero at an area that I have personally pounded more than 20 times with the Compadre, gridding and re-gridding over and over while learning. I chose a 4x30 foot section and re-searched that area for 20 minutes. The ground was dry and hard.......every find was at 6" or more..........

My personal thanks and gratitude to you, Terry.......and the door is open any time you wish to visit..............
