New wire to explorer coil?

Looking to change explorer coil wire,I need long flat or straight wire similar or better by characteristic to original without (weave or spring like on original wire). Thanks in advance Stasys

Why do you want to change wire? You cannot change lead connection inside coil! You also have to consider how you join the lead, it will need some sort of insulation between the wire joints, you could have signals jumping across from one wire to the other. You can get lead extensions with the male, female screw connections if you want simply lengthen the lead. I suggest you contact nugget finder coils and ask for advice. Seeya neilo

Hello. Its posible to conect new wire in old stile fbs coil,but before would be nice to have the wire!

Wouldn't it be easier to buy a new coil or ship the old one to Minelab for a new cable? It would save a lot of headaches.
