Caught a break today. The ground remains unfrozen and it was in the upper 40's.
I revisited a spot that is yielding considerable tricky deep iron and the occasional keeper.
The token made me laugh once toothpicked.
"The whiskey without regrets" and "It's lucky to drink Green River Whiskey". I can only surmise that the owner had indulged prior to its loss.
The Barber is my first silver for the year and turns out is a key date. I'm always happy with silver, really happy with a Barber and thrilled with a great date.
The IHP has succumbed to the soil it rested in. To say crusty would be an understatement. It's an 18??
If anyone has a suggestion to improve it I'm all ears.
The ground coughed up 3 Wheaties, 2 Jefferson's and some Memorials along with 1/2 pound of nails, wire, lead and a complete cast iron caster.
What a great hobby!
Thanks for looking

I think you have got all the photos up. Like the Green River Whiskey token, and and 1894o Barber dime. Can't make out the complete date on the IHC. Suggestion for cleaning further: wash with acetone and a Q-tip, then check the date again.

Nice finds, congrats! :occasion14:

Congrats on all those great finds! That 1894-O Barber is one of only 720K minted and worth about $75 in G- sweet!
