New Year's weekend WWII training camp find

I found this windmill pin last weekend at an old WWII training site. It is Sterling silver with the enamel facing. The pin on the back is still intact. made by H Newcome Co from NYC.
I wonder if anyone knows anything about the origin of this pin. I understand that the battalion if is from is one out NY, like the 'New Amsterdam Company' or something, but I can't find any information on the internet and would like to understand where this originated.
Thanks!

Thanks so MUCH! How did you find this?

I googled Distinctive Insignia Windmill. Brought me right to it. However, your instincts as to its origin was spot on. I was not surprised to see that it's from the old 77th which is close to my home turf.
