I don't see any tapering of the filaments as you would see in living things. I think this a trace fossil -- burrows perhaps -- otherwise known as ichnofossils.
 

Harry, thanks for the input. I would guess that soft tissue fossils in our limestone would be rare. We do find trilobites, I will get some and post pics. Thanks, gleaner1.
