New York, NY

[Badfrog]

I'll be coming down south (I'm in Quebec) to New York City and I'd like to buy some halfs just for the fun of it. Anybody does this in the Big Apple ? Without buying a box, what are the questions to ask the tellers beside if they have any halves ? Do stores usally take half dollars ?

THanks
