Read the sticky messages at the top of the page and read through the numerous "I'm new help me out" threads just over the past few months. Just keep in mind that most people post the good things, not the 15 box skunk streaks. This isnt a get rich quick scheme and honestly most of us would probably be better off in the long run just buying silver. This is a good hobby if you have patience, but it is a HOBBY so expect there to be costs involved.

Best word of advice(which is listed in the stickey ad well) is always buy them all. Also if you buy customer wrapped rolls (cwr) of dimes and get a good score. Go back and buy all other denominations. Odds are good that if they dumped silver dimes there might be quarters or nickels or even Indian head cents. Best of luck. Happy hunting

Yes please read the newbie post in the sticky section up top- it will answer so many basic questions- and yes this hobby does cost in the form if gas- I am starting to see it add up a bit- and yes like Joe777 said you see lots of posts with great finds but not a lot of the skunks- you have to be willing to talk to rude tellers sometimes and go to multiple banks to pick up an then different banks to dump and you get shorted if you use the coin counting machines- the YouTube vids make it out to be all easy and glorious but.....
It is fun though if you can get through all the above mentioned
