All Treasure Hunting
Hello all, my wife and I are new to the forum and to MD as well. Today was our 4th day of about an hours worth of metal detecting. We went searching the woods behind our property just for fun and dug up a few worthless items. What looks to be a old hammer and a "peters victor" 12ga shotgun brass.

I can see how all you others can be so excited after recovering a bit of history from the dirt.

Here's our "treasures"

Have fun everyone, we sure are. Now if we can just find a coin.....

Welcome to T-Net and the hobby! It's possible you have found an old log splitters axe. You should do a Google search, on how to build a larger
electrolysis unit using a 5 gal bucket. You can throw that axe head in, and it will come out surprisingly nice and clean. Keep at it and the goodies
will start coming. Research will be a big factor in what you find. Do your homework on the older areas around you and you'll find the good stuff!

Thanks!

I think the picture makes it look bigger than it really is. Its about 4.5 inches long.
