Metal Detecting
So I've been scouting different areas around where I live in order to have a better idea of where to detect when I can afford a more capable machine. Luckily I've found a few promising sites, and managed to walk away with a few goodies in the process (not counting digging my weight in trash). I'll post a few of the finds here. I apologize for being pic heavy, and the low quality lighting in the pics.

Looks like you're doing great!

Really nice finds. Congrats [emoji106]

Dog gone that is quite the haul, love the rings, congratulations :icon_thumleft:

Either you detected a pawn shop or you have the best spot known to man. I guess it’s the 2nd of the two. Very hard to believe. [emoji1360]

Oops forgot to label the coins...

Quarters: 1962 GW, 1937 GW, dateless SLQ, 1909 Barber.
Dimes: 1938 Mercury, 1964 Rosie, dateless seated liberty.
Reales: 1828 Mexican 1 reales, mystery coin (I assume it's a Spanish 1 reales, it was found in the same area as the half reales below).
Half reales: all seem to be Carolus III.
Half dimes: 1832(?) capped bust, 184something seated liberty, 18something3 seated liberty.
Large: 1813 Essequibo and Demerary one stiver token, 1847 us large cent, 1831 us large cent.
Nickels and IHP: 1872 shield nickel, 1911 V nickel, crusty V nickel, dateless buffalo nickels, crusty IHP.

Great coins! Your Newbie finds are of a Pro level.

Great finds! Are those Spanish silver Real coins? Hard to see in the pic.

Thanks! Yes there are some Spanish coins. Unfortunately all seem to have been damaged in a fire or something. Here's a better photo of one of the half reales. IMG_2347.webpIMG_2348.webp

Nice finds Al! How long did it take you to find this amazing haul? I recommend sticking with your current detector and spending further time at your scouted spots. You are in the pay dirt for sure. Congrats!!

Thanks. I started about a year ago. I've thought about postponing an upgrade and staying with the tracker IV, but I want a machine that's capable of seeing a little deeper into the ground, manual GB, better coil options, etc..

Thanks, and I've disclosed one of those spots in your large cent thread in the LA section.

Thanks. I need to track down the owners of those class rings soon, and hopefully turn them into some permissions.

Holy smokes, all bucket list. Newbie, uh no

"Newbie" finds? I only found my first silver from the ground a month ago...but it was an eyeball find, which makes it even better!
