Newbie from Long Island!...

Hi everyone,
Newbie here! Frank, from Long Island. I'm hoping to get some good advise and tips from this forum. I don't know much about metal detecting, but I bought my kids a Harbor Freight metal detector to start out with because it was relatively inexpensive. I was willing to get a better model, but I will wait until they seem to take a real interest in it. So far so good though.....Kids made my backyard look like a war zone! ......No real luck with it yet though, but removed a handful of nails from my yard - lol!
