Newbie from NW Illinois

Hi all, Glad I found this site! Just started with this hobby.....had a BLAST today. Searched an old farmstead. Found tons of nails, ax head, horse harness hardware, ceramics (with identification markers!), glass jars (although broken)....AND a Civil War era (?) bullet, which I have been on-line searching for how to identify, hense how I stumbled across this site.

Looking forward to a lot more fun!
