Hi there fellow prospectors!! 
I'm new to the hobby but I've always wanted to do it since I was young.
I just got myself a Garret Ace 250, heard it was a good starter detector!
Went on my first hunt today at East Beach in Galveston just to try and get the
feel of things. I found mostly bottle caps and pull tabs, even though they were just
that I was still excited lol. I did find four pennies, they were pretty messed up, or rusted
I should say. I'm glad I found this site, I know the advice I get here will be pretty helpful.
Maybe I'll find some hunting buddies in my area!!
