Relic Hunting
Hi all. I'm new to the page and fairly new to relic hunting (mainly arrowheads, native American tools, old bottles, and more) I'm from North Alabama and have had pretty good luck here so far as far as arrowheads and such. I hunt fields I have permission to hunt and creeks. But the thing is, I live off Hobbs Island Rd. about a 1/2 mile from the Flint River. I'm just 2 roads down from Clouds Cove Rd. which I know Native Americans settled at one point because there is a place in the back of Clouds Cove with 2 or 3 mounds and other things. My question is, why haven't I been able to find anything in the field next to my house or in my yard for that matter. Do I need to be digging down deeper? Any info would be greatly appreciated

Welcome from Texas

Maybe there isn’t much activity on the field or they may be deeper in the ground, I’d say keep trying and happy hunting 8-)

Welcome to Tnet from Mississippi. Look for mounds next to creeks if you're close to any. Indians had to have close water but be sure to follow all federal and state regulations. Good luck.
