newbie needs help

ive been a coin collector for a year or two but i just started in paper.

I was wondering if someone could help me out with it.

as in whats a good type of bill to hunt for what is a star note and how old does money need to be before its worth anything above face value.

The best place to start is with a paper money vales book. But beyond that, if you're looking to get in quick, star notes are a good way to go. They are notes that have been re-printed (I believe) and are identified by an "*" at the end of the serial number. As with all collectible notes, condition is everything. So the crisper and less circulated the better. I hope this helps
