Here are some of my recent finds in the past couple of days. Let me know if my eye is getting better at finding the right stuff.

Your eyes are working just fine. Looks like a mix of artifacts and geofacts. One of your objects (far right, middle row) looks like a broke base of a point/knife to me......

Thanks for the boost of confidence. I thought the same thing when I picked up the piece you mentioned. I thought the acorn looking thing may be a broken piece of pipe, but I guess I couldnt be too sure unless I had the whole thing, otherwise its probably something the river sculpted, but cool to me anyway.
