Hey all,

I have a coin question. I recently got a coin price guide and on some of the coins you will find the symbol ↑↑ beside it, or ↓↓. I was not able to find a legend for what those symbols mean. Does anyone have a website (with pics) they could direct me to, or let me know what it means?

Thanks,

Mike

Up arrows means the price has gone up since the last issue. Down arrows mean the price has dropped.

After some further investigation the symbols I mentioned above don't reference a price increase or decrease, but it is actually the position of the Die Axis.

Just in case anyone else had the question:

Die Axis - The angle at which the top and bottom coin dies oppose each other when the coin is struck. All circulating British coins are up/up.(↑↑ )

That's right, and anything marked "medal" will always be up & up. Common for Canadian Colonial tokens.
