Newby, first day dig

My kids and I received our new-to-us metal detector. We dug some junk, then my daughter digs up this, an "Ives Kendrick & Co" button - from my searches on here, it seems it is from the mid 1800s. So very cool!

Great find on your first day. Most only dig pull tabs on their first day! I love finding buttons... Id rather find a gw button than a 20$ gold piece any day. Haha

SUPERIOR FIRST DAY FIND! Please tell your daughter that in my 3 years of looking at t-net posts, her button is one of the BEST! Also, you and your family should return several times to that same location because you're very likely to dig 1800's silver coins or other groovy items there!
