Newby in Eastern CT

Hello Guys and Gals
A few years ago I bought a Whites Classic III and attempted unsuccesfully to get started in the hobby. I was in nursing school at the time and also worked full time so needless to say I was an epic failure
I have since graduated and am now a registered nurse and want to give it another better try.
After doing my homework I choose a Garrett AT Pro and Garrett Pro Pointer. I live about 30 minutes from beach country.
I am open to any and all help.
