Thinking about detecting! :laughing7: Great collection. Some beautiful finds there!

Very VERY nice collection, indeed.
Congrats!
Keep it up.
Can't wait for 2015 totals!

I would be proud to have a collection like that. Congrats!

That's a lot of nice coins. I've often wondered if I should research more modern sites and not just super old ones. It's a tough decision because I love seeing all of those nice silvers and I basically don't give myself a chance of finding them unless it's a random drop on a colonial site. Yes once in a blue moon you have a day like I had today but I'd still like to fins some of those nice 1800s silvers. My collection is pretty sad. I just can't seem to pull myself away from the super early sites. Really gonna be tough now lol

next best thing to detecting? sky diving!

Haha nothing could be more true. :laughing7: Here I am all giddy and excited about the 1936 quarter I found, and already thinking how I will present it in Today's Finds, and I see Ahab8's shilling, and suddenly my sails fell flat. :tongue3:

That is an impressive total of silver coins as well as Indians and large cents! Great year!

Thanks steve!, alot a door knocking went into all that!

Yikes! That's a lot of great stuff you have there! The silver is superb, and I really love the large cents. My area wasn't settled until the 1890's, so finding coins like my old 1883 IH cent are cool because they were dropped by the pioneers. I wish I had the chance of finding things older than that, but it's not going to happen around here.

Again, congrats on a great season, and stay warm!

Those are some pretty nice finds! You did well on the large cents. What is the oldest large cent you have in the picture?
