Hit a new wooded spot the past two days and had some luck. No silvers yet but hopefully in the long grassy spots I'm saving for spring. The soil was just nasty there on the coppers. They're in rough shape but I got a 1840 Nova Scotia token, 1876/1896/1917 Canadian large cents, 1920/1921/1929 Canadian small cents and a 1899 Indian head penny. They came out of the ground decent but as they dried out the edges just crumbled off. The big bell held up decent and still has the rusty clanger inside. I also got a decorative buckle and some other odds and ends. The ground is so hard and dry here that I had to search wooded areas to have a chance to dig. Thanks for looking!
