Nice Eagle Flat Button Earl & Lee New York

Found this nice Eagle flat button. It has Earl & Lee New York on the back. It is about 3/4" round. Does anyone know anything about it.

That is the original guesses I got when I found it. Could not read the back when found. Was thinking British. But now US.
