Hello All. Three hunts are represented here, twice w Btoots (thanks BT) at an old homestead spot in the woods that continues to produce goodies, and once alone at a small town curb strip.
Got the usual ammo, plain buttons, reed plates, and misc hardware along with some OK corker bottles, a cookie jar lid, National Citrate Magnesia bottle, Sauer's Extract bottle, and a real NICE handmade silver broach. The glass came from a small (big hole dug) garbage pit in the woods and the silver broach from a small town curb strip right across the street from a site I have dug many numerous times...glad I crossed the road.
The silver broach reverse side is as good as the front with a sterling stamp, the maker's hand made "FTC" initials, and a very faint "1939" scratched in the lower left corner...see last pic. I did not notice the date until I began taking pictures...very nice because we were puzzled as to the vintage of it...my wife said "1940"...dang she's smart!!
Question: Zoom in on the broach, looks like a hand made "one-off", can I call it trench art?
Thanks for tuning in and Good Luck out there. C9
