About a year or so ago, while metal detecting along the Russian River, in California, I found what at first looked like a pocket drop of buffalo nickles, that were stuck together, then I realized that it was a belt buckle, and put it in my pouch. I misplaced it later, so I don't know if it was made out of real nickles, or was cast.
Does anyone know if belt buckles were made to look like nickles, or was this some high school kids project, and he soldered nickles together to make the buckle. Must have been about 20 nickles, so maybe it was actually worth something.
