I am curious as too what the average number of NIFC halves yall find in your boxes. I am a cent and nickel guy myself, but I enjoy the occasional silver hunt and order a box of halves every other week or so. The box I did last night had 26 NIFC halves with 5 of them being 2012. I was really expecting to find some silver in with these guys but no such luck. My other boxes have averaged about 9-12 NIFC halves each and about 4 proofs. These numbers seem higher then what most people are posting so I was just curious what everyone elses numbers were like.

Did find a 1936 Buffalo last night in the nickel box I did. Broke my 7 box buffalo skunk streak. :tongue3:

It varies sometimtes 0-and sometimes 120+.

NIFC = "Nice-I-Found-Clad". I don't even collect them any more.

Nice finds moff.

Well- I like the NIFC's and would like many more! Ya'll collect up 1 -2 -3 Hundred dollars worth and I'll pay you face, pay for shipping, and maybe do something nice for you one day.
Seriously-- PM me some details on how many and the shape of them. I like to complete collection books and sort out the very best for long term hidy hole storage for the kids and grand kids. In a half century they might be worth a tad more than they are today...
PEACE

I find around 4-5 per box but lately it has been 20+. I'm starting to wonder if the us mint accidently circulated a bunch of NIFC's unintentionally. Right now I am attempting to make complete sets of P and D from 2002-2012. I have two complete sets right now and several partial sets. 2007p, 2011, and 2012 are my "key" dates right now and I have way too many 2002 and 2003. It seems like they would be more rare given the mintage numbers.

Funny, 2007P is the NIFC I have the most of, probably around 50. 2002 is the next in line.

Me and fifty throw those clad angels back into the wild these days and I suggest yall do too..

I edge and sound check so I don't know exactly how many I get per box. I can say that I notice probably 5-10 per box just shuffling through the coins, so there are probably way more in the boxes. I don't save NIFC's because there seem to be a ton of them around. The only clad I save are proofs and only if they are in somewhat decent shape.

With that being said, I encourage all other hunters to save as many NIFC's as they can since that means there will be that much less clad for me to search through and dump on a weekly basis.

Actually, I just got out my inventory sheet and it was 2007D that I was short of. Surprisingly. I had a 2007D in a half box this morning. I wish silver was as common as NIFC's.
