Hey Ashman. Awesome find! One quick question. Are the crystals as red as they look in the picture? If so, I believe you have quartz crystals with predominant inclusions of hematite, giving the crystals that gorgeous bright red color.

Yes sir, that is what first caught my eye when I saw these. I stop by an area real quick that I had been wanting to look at after some hard rains a few weeks ago. I had been wondering if all that hard rain had moved some earth around. So when I stopped by I jumped out of the car and sprinted to the location real quick, the first thing I spotted were a few bright red spots on two small rocks that were no bigger then a baseball. So I scooped them up and ran back before I ran any risk of upsetting the wife. LOL Mission Accomplished...
