I went to the bank to pickup my weekly box of halves and when I walked in both tellers gave each other a look that I knew was not good. They forgot to order my box, but the teller that brings my boxes from the main branch said they had a box in the vault and she would bring it for me tomorrow. With no halves to search tonight I asked if they had any nickels or dimes they could spare. They sold me a $200 bag of nickels and a $500 bag of dimes. My wife volunteered to help me start the bag of nickels. I wasn't sure how long she would last, but she pulled the first Buffalo nickel we've found from circulation and that got her motivated. She also pulled a 1959 Proof, the first proof nickel we found in circulation. We also found 21 from the 40's and 33 from the 50's.
Here is a picture of the proof 59 next to a standard 59 and the 35 Buffalo
I'll start the dime bag later tonight.
