Went into my local bank today to get my hands on the new $1 presidential coins released by the Fed to certain banks that ordered them. George W. --- no not the moron who is currently inhabiting the oval office, but George Washington is pictured on one side w/ lady liberty on the other. The coins are gold tinted and really impressive when compared to the Sacajewea's and Susan B. Anthony's they tried in years past. Apparently they will begin releasing a new coin each quarter in the order which our historical presidents have served. I tried to take a picture of it to post, but like my other efforts so far with my new digital camera the image didn't come out right..... Sorry

Early bird always gets the best coins! congrats.

The back of the coin looks better than the front. They should have used a better rendering of George, for the front. ::)

It's just my opinion of course but I happen to like George Bush. I never agree with any President 100% but I know I could not do a better job than he has.

I went to my bank on the first day they came out, they would only sell me one roll.
So, I went to a bank where a lady friend of mine works, and she let me have (sold)
me 20 rolls. I also ordered a box of the coins, which will come in this coming Wensday.

They may never be worth more than a dollar. But it is a dollars, so you can't lose on it.

There is some talk of misprints (did I spell that right) May be just talk who knows.

I think the old Shell oil tokens looked better.
