Yesterday we went to try a new field, has old terraces on the side of the hill and a stream on the lower end of the field, just outside the village, we had about 3 hours in it and found nothing 😬 a first for us! So today was determined to do better, we went back to the fields below the castle, and had a much better day 😆… and summer is officially here at last! xx

Unusual shaped buckle, pot mend and pot leg, lead roll and a lead goez’onta, metal rings, buttons, an unidentified coin, 2 Victoria’s, a George 3rd, 3 pre dec, and a battered hammered, I found on the banks of the stream 😆 xx

Now back to a week of looking at maps and dreaming as we have some new fields to add to our permission, David pulled the Farmer’s tractor out of the mud on Friday so he said we can explore his fields 🏆 ! xx

Poop stream provides silver. Congrats 👏
Hope you didn't do a mouth wash cleaning on the silver. 🤣

Now it looks like a horse image, or an animal.
Anything on the otherside?

Better day for sure.
Well done.
Now that was a smart pull by Himself.
Got a bunch of dirt to detect now.
Better keep that man for awhile yet ya hear.

An urchins cornucopia of value recovered!
Held when new , there was much that could have been acquired in exchange. If an authority didn't demand to know where such wealth was acquired from. The buttons alone could have produced repeated meals.

Maybe some things don't change all that much? L.o.l..

Congrats!
And there was evidence of a bog trotter along the water. Of course!

You guys never fail to impress with your finds. Your" lead goez’onta" reminds me of my goez'inta math education. As in 2 goez'inta 4.
Ah thank you!! Ha ha… exactly!!!! my Dad taught me that useful bit of knowledge 😆 xx

Jealous again blossom! Beautiful views, love those buttons.

Geo IIIs are mostly what I find here in the "colony" but occasionally a II. Those have been among my oldest coins, however they are "new" to you!

Great finds and a great looking place to hunt !

Still waiting to hear if there's anything on the other side of this one.

Welll… good news… the other coin is a Roman… but can detect nothing on the hammered.. except for some beading near the edge 🧐… so all we can say is its a hammered!! xx

Nice going :)
